About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic planning efforts to advance the Division of Energy Management (DEM) mission and Local Law 97 compliance
  • Lead policy development regarding energy efficiency and clean energy
  • Develop and implement external communications strategies to highlight decarbonization efforts
  • Supervise legislative strategy and support City Council hearing preparations
  • Provide strategic guidance to Budget, Contracts, and Financial Analysis and Planning teams
  • Refine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and manage performance tracking and reporting
  • Manage special projects and serve as a trusted advisor to the Deputy Commissioner

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • Four years of satisfactory, full-time experience related to the position duties
  • At least 18 months of experience in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity
  • Experience supervising personnel performing related activities
