About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive strategic planning efforts to advance the Division of Energy Management (DEM) mission and Local Law 97 compliance
- Lead policy development regarding energy efficiency and clean energy
- Develop and implement external communications strategies to highlight decarbonization efforts
- Supervise legislative strategy and support City Council hearing preparations
- Provide strategic guidance to Budget, Contracts, and Financial Analysis and Planning teams
- Refine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and manage performance tracking and reporting
- Manage special projects and serve as a trusted advisor to the Deputy Commissioner
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- Four years of satisfactory, full-time experience related to the position duties
- At least 18 months of experience in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity
- Experience supervising personnel performing related activities
