About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee regulatory compliance requirements for permits held by the Bureau of Solid Waste Management
- Ensure vendor compliance with contractual requirements and city, state, and federal regulations
- Lead major procurement and contract actions to support the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP26)
- Monitor regional developments in technology and capacity for solid waste management
- Lead development and negotiations for inter-agency agreements regarding facility use
- Advise on policies, programs, and regulations related to solid waste management and resource recovery
Requirements
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or related field plus 3 years of experience (including 18 months in a managerial/executive capacity)
- OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience (including 18 months in a managerial/executive capacity)
- OR High school diploma plus 9 years of experience (including 18 months in a managerial/executive capacity)
