About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee an active outreach and engagement team
- Develop and implement strategic outreach and engagement plans
- Serve as the primary bridge to diverse constituencies including residents, elected officials, and community organizations
- Maintain a visible presence at community events, town halls, and public forums
- Support agency during critical emergency response efforts and communications
- Create systems to capture and analyze stakeholder feedback to inform policy
- Oversee engagement initiatives such as trainings, site visits, and multilingual campaigns
- Draft and edit agency-wide public facing correspondence and messaging
- Provide oversight for vendor management, including contracts, budgets, and proposals
- Lead cross-unit projects and manage specialized analysts and coordinators
Requirements
- Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience (including 18 months in a managerial/executive capacity)
- OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience (including 18 months in a managerial/executive capacity)
- OR High school diploma plus 9 years of relevant experience (including 18 months in a managerial/executive capacity)
