Assistant Commercial Manager

Responsibilities

• Deliver all aspects of commercial management from the early stages of a project lifecycle
• Prepare detailed cost forecasts, budget reports, and analyze variances to support financial decision-making
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to estimate project costs and overheads
• Prepare internal and external sub-consultancy agreements and manage the execution process
• Conduct due diligence for sub-consultants and verify insurance policy validity
• Initiate and prepare change request forms and variation order documents
• Maintain and update master variation trackers for ongoing and legacy projects
• Implement cost control measures and monitor project expenditures to prevent budget overruns
• Review and endorse invoices and claims from internal and external suppliers
• Conduct post-project financial audits to identify lessons learned

Requirements

• Degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or a related field
• 8 years of experience in cost and commercial management within the real estate sector
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and project management processes
• Experience with Power BI, CRM tools, or Oracle systems
