About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist lead coaches with program implementation in the sprints, hurdles, and jumps areas
- Provide feedback and collaborate on event-specific programming and competition preparation
- Coordinate national recruiting lists and manage prospect contact via email, text, and social media
- Arrange prospect visits, including travel, lodging, and campus appointments within budget
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations, including CARA recording
- Monitor student-athlete academic progress and financial aid status
- Assist with home meet management, including staging, heat sheets, and timing company liaison
- Oversee student managers and assist with equipment, apparel, and facility coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and intercollegiate athletics
- Proven experience with the recruitment process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer and technical proficiency
- Ability to train, motivate, and supervise student-athletes
Preferred Qualifications
- Coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level
- Playing experience at the NCAA Division I level
