Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in the daily operations, administration, and instruction of the women's varsity intercollegiate basketball program
• Lead training and practice sessions while ensuring all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained
• Perform specific coaching and instructional responsibilities during athletic events
• Scout and recruit quality student-athletes under the guidance of the head coach
• Coordinate all recruiting activities with the head coach and appropriate departmental personnel
• Work closely with athletic training staff to ensure the safety of all student-athletes
• Represent the sports program to media, alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public
• Maintain thorough familiarity with all applicable University, Landmark Conference, and NCAA regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Intercollegiate playing experience in basketball
• Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to perform moderate physical activity

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience
