About the role
Responsibilities
- Aid the head coach in providing leadership and organization for all phases of the women's basketball program.
- Facilitate team practices and competitions, providing real-time feedback and instruction to student-athletes.
- Plan and assess practices to gauge individual and team progress toward established goals.
- Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, including on-campus visits and off-campus events.
- Support student-athlete safety, welfare, academic mentorship, and team travel logistics.
- Execute administrative functions for the athletic department to support recruitment, retention, and academic success initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 1-3 years of experience in coaching, participating in the program, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining professional relationships.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior recruiting experience at the college level.
- Prior coaching experience at the college level.
