Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball & Coordinator of Athletics Initiatives

Responsibilities

• Aid the head coach in providing leadership and organization for all phases of the women's basketball program.
• Facilitate team practices and competitions, providing real-time feedback and instruction to student-athletes.
• Plan and assess practices to gauge individual and team progress toward established goals.
• Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, including on-campus visits and off-campus events.
• Support student-athlete safety, welfare, academic mentorship, and team travel logistics.
• Execute administrative functions for the athletic department to support recruitment, retention, and academic success initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 1-3 years of experience in coaching, participating in the program, or a related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining professional relationships.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior recruiting experience at the college level.
• Prior coaching experience at the college level.
