About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in conducting a program consistent with the values of the College, NESCAC, and NCAA Division III
- Prepare student-athletes for competition through fitness training, skill practices, scouting, and competitions
- Conduct effective student-athlete recruitment programs in partnership with Admissions to meet annual roster goals
- Oversee student-athlete academic progress and support overall well-being
- Manage team social media and marketing efforts
- Maintain communication with parents, alumni, and supporters to assist with fundraising initiatives
- Coordinate with Sports Medicine and Strength & Conditioning staff regarding athlete injury and rehabilitation
- Foster a community that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of collegiate playing or coaching experience
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to demonstrate and teach all aspects of ice hockey
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- 1-3 years of specific collegiate coaching experience
- Proven experience recruiting at the collegiate level
