About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the head coach to implement coaching strategies that develop technical skills and tactical understanding.
  • Participate in scouting and recruiting efforts to identify and attract top talent.
  • Support daily operations including practice organization, match preparation, and travel logistics.
  • Assist with game day operations, including scouting, in-game coaching, and post-game analysis.
  • Mentor student-athletes regarding both athletic performance and academic progress.
  • Work with strength and conditioning staff, trainers, and academic advisors to support student-athlete welfare.
  • Uphold all NCAA, conference, and university regulations and compliance standards.
  • Assist with program budget management and community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Physical Education, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level or higher.
  • Strong knowledge of water polo techniques, strategies, and current trends.
  • Valid US driver's license.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel as required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous coaching experience at an NCAA Division I institution.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting top-level student-athletes.
  • Experience with community engagement and building program visibility.
