About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, development, and administration of all phases of the Women's Basketball program
- Assist with practice planning, game preparation, and recruiting elite athletes
- Manage administrative tasks, special projects, and fiscal budgeting responsibilities
- Adhere to all policies and guidelines set by the University of California System, UCLA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, and the NCAA
- Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the program
Requirements
- Proven ability to assist in recruiting, developing, and training elite collegiate athletes
- Demonstrated experience with fiscal management and budgeting
- Strong knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations with a record of compliance
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with student-athletes, administrators, and the public
- Current certifications in first aid, CPR, and AED use (must be provided within 30 days of employment)
- Ability to travel up to 10% for team competitions and activities
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of demonstrated coaching experience at the Division I level
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
