Assistant Coach, Track & Field

Responsibilities

• Implement coaching strategies and teaching methods to develop student-athlete skills and teamwork
• Plan and conduct practices, competitions, and other activities to prepare the team
• Analyze team performance and evaluate opponents to develop effective game strategies
• Identify and develop recruitment strategies, including conducting recruiting trips and creating promotional materials
• Assist with team budget development, expenditure monitoring, and compliance with NCAA regulations
• Support student-athlete academic success by monitoring course loads and counseling on study skills
• Manage equipment inventory and assist with promotional, fundraising, and community relations activities
• Perform other duties such as videotaping sessions and driving passenger vans as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 1+ years of track and field coaching experience
• Valid driver's license
• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications
• Annual NCAA Certification to recruit student-athletes
