Assistant Coach, Track & Field - Throws

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching, recruiting, counseling, conditioning, and evaluating the track and field throws team.
• Implement coaching strategies and teaching methods to develop student-athlete skills and teamwork.
• Plan and conduct practices and other activities in preparation for competition.
• Identify and develop team recruitment strategies, including conducting recruiting trips and creating promotional materials.
• Assist with team budget development, expenditure monitoring, and documentation in compliance with university and NCAA regulations.
• Support academic success by communicating with advising staff and counseling athletes on course loads and degree requirements.
• Manage equipment inventory and assist with the administration of meets and promotional activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least six months of coaching experience or one year of Division I NCAA throws competition experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Collegiate throws coaching experience.
