Assistant Coach - Track and Field

Responsibilities

• Coach the Pole Vault event, providing technical instruction and skill development for Division I student-athletes
• Recruit high-level academically and athletically skilled students to compete for the Rutgers track and field program
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a nationally competitive program within the Big Ten Conference and NCAA
• Organize and conduct high-level practices and competitions with efficiency and success
• Manage operational duties during team travel
• Instruct student-athletes in competition rules, conditioning, and leadership qualities
• Support fundraising and public relations events to enhance program objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations regarding track and field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Ability to work nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of Division I coaching experience at the Power 5 intercollegiate level
