Assistant Coach, Swimming

Responsibilities

• Support the development of men's and women's swim teams through skill, speed, and strength training.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of practice sessions.
• Mentor and invest in the personal and athletic growth of student-athletes.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes.
• Help organize and administer team travel and home meets.
• Support Athletic Department projects and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience and passion for coaching swimming.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with athletes, parents, and colleagues.
• Personal commitment to the Christian faith and the integration of faith and learning.
• Valid driver's license.
• Commitment to the educational mission of Whitworth University.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Experience participating in intercollegiate swimming.
