Assistant Coach, Swim & Dive

Responsibilities

• Instruct student-athletes in sport-related fundamentals, skills, team concepts, and safety practices.
• Lead and facilitate practices for all divers, including groups and dry land sessions.
• Support student-athlete academic success by monitoring requirements and facilitating study hours.
• Assist with recruiting efforts, including phone calls, email correspondence, and evaluating talent at meets.
• Manage travel logistics, including hotel arrangements, meal planning, and team bed checks.
• Assist with home meet operations, including setup, breakdown, and running of the meet.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities via social media platforms.
• Maintain compliance with all NCAA and conference rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• One year of coaching experience specifically in diving or gymnastics.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University fleet rules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NCAA and Conference Rules and Regulations.
• Proven recruiting skills and effective communication abilities.
• Experience working successfully with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated commitment to advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
