About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement specialized strength and conditioning programs for Softball, Men’s soccer, Men’s basketball, and Men’s/Women’s Golf and Tennis
- Collaborate across multi-sport programs to provide assistance for Football, Volleyball, Women’s Soccer, and Men’s/Women’s Cross Country
- Manage the daily organization, calibration, and execution of Hawkin Dynamic force plate testing
- Participate in the management of the graduate and undergraduate internship program through the University of Pittsburgh
- Foster a collaborative environment with Athletic Trainers to ensure safe training for rehabilitating athletes
- Execute performance profiling to evaluate power, speed, fitness, strength, and agility
- Maintain weight room equipment and inventory
- Teach a weight training course in the Physical Education Program
- Support the Department of Athletics in event operations and special events
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)
- CSCS or CSCCA certification required
- 1-3 years of experience or 1,000 hours of experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning program
- Successful background check
- Child Protection Clearances
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
