Assistant Coach of Swimming and Diving

Responsibilities

• Assist the head men’s and women’s swimming and diving coach in implementing and directing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division III program
• Perform program administration duties as assigned by the Head Coach
• Provide on-deck coaching for student-athletes
• Execute recruiting efforts for the ONU Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving programs
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous swim coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate levels
• Current certification in Lifeguard, CPR-PR, and First Aid (or the ability to obtain these certifications)
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct coaching experience in both Swimming and Diving
• Experience with recruiting student-athletes
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
• Experience with strength and conditioning
