Assistant Coach- M&W Tennis

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Tennis Coach with leadership of the men’s and women’s tennis programs
• Provide instruction in technique, match management, conditioning, and competitive mindset
• Recruit and retain student-athletes who fit Southwestern’s academic and athletic standards
• Support NCAA Division III compliance and follow university, conference, and NCAA policies
• Mentor student-athletes and promote professionalism, integrity, and academic success
• Assist with fundraising, event administration, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Coaching experience with demonstrated knowledge of sport-specific techniques
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within three months of hire
• Strong commitment to working with diverse students and campus communities

Preferred Qualifications

• Collegiate or professional playing experience in tennis
• Experience recruiting college-level varsity athletes
• Ability to serve as an instructor for ESS or FRA classes if qualified
