Assistant Coach, Men's Rugby

Responsibilities

• Assist the Men's Rugby Head Coach in all aspects of on and off-field training, practice, and competition
• Mentor club members as competitive athletes and campus leaders, supporting student officers in organizational management
• Design and supervise practices and games, both home and away, in collaboration with the Head Coach
• Serve as an essential on-field risk manager
• Coordinate with the Office of Sports Medicine to ensure all medical clearance requirements are met
• Assist student club leaders with practice and game scheduling, including field coordination
• Oversee the club president and team captains to assist with administrative obligations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
• Coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
• USA Rugby Level 200 coaching certification
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of constituents
• Ability to work cooperatively with coaches, administrators, students, and alumni
• Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and travel for competition
