Bachelor's degree, CPR certification, First Aid & AED certification, State driver's license, Ability to lift 50 pounds
About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in the daily operations, administration, and instruction of the varsity men's lacrosse program
- Perform specific coaching and instructional responsibilities during athletic events
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the sport and all applicable University, Landmark Conference, and NCAA regulations
- Implement strategies resulting from coaching preparatory meetings
- Ensure all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained during training and practice sessions
- Scout and recruit quality student-athletes under the direction of the head coach
- Work closely with athletic training staff to ensure the safety of all student-athletes
- Represent the sports program to alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (must be recertified annually)
- Current state driver's license
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform athletic fundamentals including running, jumping, kneeling, and bending
- Ability to stand for periods up to 6 hours
Preferred Qualifications
- High School and/or Club coaching experience
