Assistant Coach - Men's Lacrosse

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in the daily operations, administration, and instruction of the varsity men's lacrosse program
• Perform specific coaching and instructional responsibilities during athletic events
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the sport and all applicable University, Landmark Conference, and NCAA regulations
• Implement strategies resulting from coaching preparatory meetings
• Ensure all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained during training and practice sessions
• Scout and recruit quality student-athletes under the direction of the head coach
• Work closely with athletic training staff to ensure the safety of all student-athletes
• Represent the sports program to alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (must be recertified annually)
• Current state driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform athletic fundamentals including running, jumping, kneeling, and bending
• Ability to stand for periods up to 6 hours

Preferred Qualifications

• High School and/or Club coaching experience
