Assistant Coach - Men's Golf

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in administering the men’s golf intercollegiate athletics program.
• Ensure strict compliance with University, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Participate in the recruiting, instruction, and coaching of student-athletes, focusing on fundamentals, conditioning, and strategy.
• Support student-athletes in prioritizing academics and meeting all university requirements.
• Assist with recruiting evaluations, official visits, and travel-related activities.
• Support marketing, promotional activities, and fundraising efforts for the men's golf program.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative environment that promotes student-athlete motivation and discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Two (2) years of experience in the sport of golf.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University fleet rules.
• Ability to perform physical activities related to the sport, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes extensive national and international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NCAA and/or West Coast Conference rules and regulations.
• CPR certification (must be obtained by the end of the introductory period).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience working with diverse backgrounds and a commitment to advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion.
