Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of basketball practice sessions
• Conduct scouting of opponents, manage film exchange, and prepare scouting reports
• Develop individual players through skill, conditioning, and strength/speed training
• Mentor and support student-athletes in their personal and academic development
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes
• Organize and administer team travel logistics and home game management
• Ensure compliance with all NCAA and NWC regulations
• Contribute to fundraising efforts for the men's basketball program

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid driver's license
• Personal commitment to the Christian faith and the integration of faith and learning
• Strong relationship-building skills with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches
• Proven scouting skills and ability to prepare detailed reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
• Experience in recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes
• Participation in intercollegiate basketball
• Master's Degree
