Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach in the administration of all aspects of the basketball program
• Develop coaching strategies, training activities, and teaching methods to maintain a competitive NCAA Division I program
• Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes, including assisting with official and unofficial recruiting visits
• Coordinate preseason logistics such as housing, meals, and travel, and assist with budgetary tasks
• Act as a liaison with marketing, promotions, facilities, equipment management, compliance, and student services
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support the program's success

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-2 years of demonstrated college playing and/or coaching experience in Men's Basketball
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, alumni, boosters, and administrative staff
• Commitment to the academic goals of Stetson University and adherence to NCAA and ASUN Conference regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Proven ability to lead with integrity and positively influence the lives and athletic careers of student-athletes
• Superb organizational skills to effectively manage program administrative duties
