Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic, academic, and social support to student-athletes on the Men’s Basketball team
• Assist with day-to-day operations, including practice schedules, locker room upkeep, and equipment coordination
• Manage team travel logistics, including hotels, flights, and charter buses
• Supervise game day coordination for home games and record game statistics
• Utilize film exchange software to create highlight and scouting tapes for instruction
• Ensure strict compliance with all NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations
• Assist in recruiting quality student-athletes and promoting the University program
• Mentor and inspire student-athletes to support their development through graduation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-3 years of experience in college or professional basketball as a player, coach, or administrator
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
• Valid driver’s license with a successful motor vehicle record check
• Successful clearance of background checks (PA Criminal Records, FBI Fingerprinting, and PA Child Abuse Clearance)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and frequent travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Experience as a Division I student-athlete, coach, or administrator
