Assistant Coach, Baseball

Responsibilities

• Implement coaching strategies and teaching methods to develop student-athlete skills and teamwork
• Analyze team performance and evaluate opponents to develop effective game strategies
• Plan and conduct practices, camps, and clinics in preparation for competition
• Identify and develop recruitment strategies, including conducting recruiting trips and creating promotional materials
• Assist with team budget development, expenditure monitoring, and documentation in compliance with university and NCAA regulations
• Support student-athlete academic success by communicating with advising staff and counseling athletes on study skills
• Manage equipment inventory, strength training programs, and video analysis of practices and games
• Perform promotional activities for fundraising, public relations, and community engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• One or more years of collegiate baseball coaching experience
• Demonstrated experience in training and instructing athletes
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Valid driver's license
• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications
• Annual NCAA Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• NCAA baseball coaching experience, specifically at the Division I level
