Assistant Coach - Acrobatics & Tumbling

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the head coach to implement coaching strategies that develop technical skills and overall performance.
• Participate in scouting and recruiting efforts to identify and attract top talent.
• Support daily program operations, including practice organization, meet preparation, and travel logistics.
• Assist with meet-day operations, including setup, in-game coaching, and accurate score documentation.
• Mentor student-athletes to support both their athletic and academic progress.
• Work with strength and conditioning staff, athletic trainers, and academic advisors to ensure comprehensive athlete support.
• Uphold all NCAA, conference, and university regulations and ethical standards.
• Assist with program budget management and community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1-2 years of experience as an acrobatics & tumbling athlete and/or 1-2 years of coaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of acrobatics & tumbling techniques, strategies, and trends.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of coaching experience at the high school level or higher.
• Previous coaching experience at an NCAA Division I institution.
• Demonstrated success in recruiting top-level student-athletes.
• Experience with community engagement and building program visibility.
