About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for fieldwork, student teaching, and clinical placement processes.
- Supervise and develop University Supervisors and mentor teachers to ensure alignment with Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs).
- Oversee credentialing workflows, including student teaching clearance, intern eligibility, and preliminary credential recommendations.
- Lead CTC accreditation activities, including data collection, documentation review, and preparation of accreditation reports.
- Monitor academic progress and fieldwork readiness using university systems to identify and support at-risk candidates.
- Maintain data integrity across student records, placement documentation, and credential repositories.
- Serve as a University Supervisor for approximately 50 students per semester.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid California teaching credential (Education Specialist and/or Multiple Subject preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful P–12 teaching experience.
- At least three (3) years of experience in supervision, fieldwork coordination, or credentialing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of California TPEs, TPAs, and CTC credentialing standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in Education or a related field.
- Experience managing professional staff and leading accreditation or compliance reporting.
- Proficiency with university systems such as Banner, Argos, OnBase, Salesforce, or DegreeWorks.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
