Assistant Clinical Coordinator – Veterinary Technology Program

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage student clinical placements across various veterinary settings
• Monitor student progress to ensure completion of required clinical competencies and skills
• Develop and maintain relationships with affiliated clinical partners and assist in expanding new partnerships
• Evaluate clinical sites to ensure compliance with CVTEA standards through routine site visits
• Provide training, resources, and ongoing communication to clinical site supervisors and preceptors
• Coordinate student scheduling and troubleshoot placement or site-related issues
• Maintain accurate records of clinical hours, skills attainment, and site documentation
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate clinical and didactic learning
• Support student onboarding requirements, including vaccine records and training
• Assist with accreditation reporting and program assessment activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology or a related field
• Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical veterinary experience across various practice areas
• Knowledge of AAHA standards and OSHA regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneDrive, Forms, etc.)
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple clinical partnerships and student placements effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT) in good standing
• Prior experience in clinical instruction, supervision, or student mentorship
• Ability to train on software platforms such as Exxat, Salthouse, CampusLabs, and Brightspace
