Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage student clinical placements across various veterinary settings
- Monitor student progress to ensure completion of required clinical competencies and skills
- Develop and maintain relationships with affiliated clinical partners and assist in expanding new partnerships
- Evaluate clinical sites to ensure compliance with CVTEA standards through routine site visits
- Provide training, resources, and ongoing communication to clinical site supervisors and preceptors
- Coordinate student scheduling and troubleshoot placement or site-related issues
- Maintain accurate records of clinical hours, skills attainment, and site documentation
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate clinical and didactic learning
- Support student onboarding requirements, including vaccine records and training
- Assist with accreditation reporting and program assessment activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical veterinary experience across various practice areas
- Knowledge of AAHA standards and OSHA regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneDrive, Forms, etc.)
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple clinical partnerships and student placements effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT) in good standing
- Prior experience in clinical instruction, supervision, or student mentorship
- Ability to train on software platforms such as Exxat, Salthouse, CampusLabs, and Brightspace
