Assistant Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee all studio and field equipment, daily station operations, and technical staff
• Lead and guide the engineering team, including studio operators, IT, and RF specialists
• Manage IT integrity, security, and infrastructure
• Maintain transmitter, satellite antenna systems, signal distribution, and routing systems
• Ensure compliance with FCC requirements and licensing
• Assist in the execution of capital projects and maintain relationships with local vendors

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in Television Broadcast Operations/Maintenance
• Prior management experience
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic equipment for broadcast and production environments
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical activities associated with equipment installation
• Must possess a current driver's license
• Ability to attend in-person at the Jackson, MS location

Preferred Qualifications

• Higher education in technology
• SBE certification
• Relevant military experience
