Assistant Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Engineering in daily operations and serve as Department Head in their absence
• Lead and motivate the engineering team by setting high performance standards and monitoring work quality
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs for all hotel facilities and equipment
• Assist with budgeting and cost control by tracking maintenance expenses and managing supplies
• Promote workplace safety and energy efficiency by enforcing safety regulations and monitoring energy usage

Requirements

• Minimum D3 or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role within hospitality or large property management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Highly organized and adaptable to dynamic environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer applications and engineering systems
