Assistant Chief Building Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance staff on shift and monitor performance
• Perform and/or direct maintenance departmental service requests
• Provide training and supervision to expand operations staff capabilities
• Implement and supervise the preventative maintenance program
• Order parts and equipment required for repair and installation
• Direct the performance of contracted maintenance work
• Comply with policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials
• Manage operating inventory of tools and supplies
• Lead the engineering team to operate machinery and systems safely and efficiently

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 5+ years of related work experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven record of excellent customer service

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience
• Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent
• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s
