Assistant Cheer Coach/Spirit Program Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competitions.
• Support both competition and game day cheerleading duties.
• Manage spirit program operations, including uniform ordering, scheduling, and team activities.
• Coordinate game day plans with marketing, pep band, and facilities staff.
• Assist in recruiting prospective student-athletes through phone, email, and on-campus visits.
• Implement and supervise athletic training, strength, and conditioning workouts.
• Coordinate team travel, including itineraries, lodging, and transportation.
• Organize spirit program clinics and camps to support community outreach and fundraising.
• Foster a positive, Christ-centered culture that supports student development and team unity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated competitive coaching skills in the relevant sporting specialty.
• Knowledge of strength and conditioning programs and routines.
• Proficiency in first aid and CPR/emergency medical procedures.
• Ability to travel (including domestic/international air travel) and work nights and weekends.
• Ability to uphold the University’s Christ-centered mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an NCAA athletic program.
