Assistant Center Director

Responsibilities

• Support the Center Director in managing daily operations and state licensing compliance
• Supervise staff, manage schedules, and provide classroom coverage as needed
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment and oversee facility appearance
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff to support center culture
• Support Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) implementation and documentation
• Assist with administrative tasks including recordkeeping, payroll support, and CACFP submissions

Requirements

• At least one year of supervisory experience in childcare or early learning
• Minimum of three years of classroom experience in a licensed childcare environment
• CDA or equivalent Early Childhood Education credits
• Ohio Career Pathways Level III or higher
• Knowledge of Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) standards
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and pass a criminal background check
• Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Bilingual skills
