Assistant Category Manager – Toys & Hardline, UP&E China

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day category administration including SKU setup, maintenance, range lists, and planning templates.
• Coordinate internal processes across finance, legal, and operations to ensure timely execution.
• Act as a cross-country interface, coordinating regional and global meetings and supporting regional line plans.
• Prepare materials for range reviews, line plan discussions, and retail sell-in meetings.
• Maintain launch trackers and performance snapshots, consolidating data to flag risks and opportunities.
• Support the overseas expansion of China-based strategic partners by tracking pipelines and aligning marketing activities.
• Assist the Category Head in identifying and developing white space initiatives.
• Track international market entry and expansion plans in collaboration with global stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of China-based brands and their global expansion pathways.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional coordination.
• Solid analytical and operational capabilities, including reporting and business planning support.
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in licensing, consumer products, toys, or hardlines industries.
• Experience supporting international business development.
