About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day camp management, including scheduling and staff supervision
- Collaborate with the Camp Manager to develop and execute engaging activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure environment
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment orders
- Handle camper and parent inquiries professionally
- Assist in recruitment, training, and evaluation of camp staff
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
- Maintain accurate operational records and reports
- Step in for the Camp Manager to oversee operations in their absence
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and diverse camp culture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Education, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in camp management or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and camp management software
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Experience in event planning and coordination
- Knowledge of youth development and outdoor recreation
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to participate in activities and assist with equipment setup
- Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is a plus
- Familiarity with local regulations and cultural norms in Qatar
