Assistant Camp Director

Responsibilities

• Independently direct, plan, and supervise the Extended Care program (3pm-6pm)
• Collaborate with the Camp Director to oversee daily camp operations and ensure a safe, joyful environment
• Act as "manager on duty" in the Camp Director's absence
• Lead and coach the camp team, with a specific focus on managing Summer Interns
• Manage camp rotations, facilitate curriculum, and step in to lead camper groups as needed
• Utilize camp systems like Salesforce and Camp Planner for administrative tasks and family communication
• Maintain staffing ratios and coordinate coverage during staff breaks

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in K-8 education, child development, or related work
• Experience supervising or mentoring children in groups of 15+
• Availability for full-time summer camp work (Monday–Friday)
• Must be 18 years of age by May 1, 2026
• Ability to complete pre-camp requirements including background checks and CPR/First Aid

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ months of leadership or supervisory experience
