Assistant Bridge Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Engineer in delivering highways structures schemes
• Assist with investigations, inspections, data analysis, and design development
• Produce technical designs, drawings, and documentation
• Undertake site visits and apply relevant standards such as DMRB and MCHW
• Work collaboratively to meet project and utilisation targets
• Promote SHEQ, CDM, and Health & Safety compliance across all activities

Requirements

• Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering
• Working towards IEng or CEng status
• Knowledge of structures design (maintenance or new build)
• Understanding of DMRB, MCHW, and CDM regulations
• Experience within an engineering consultancy environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
