Assistant Branch Manager

Responsibilities

• Guide, direct, and coach employees to deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects
• Advise customers on financial products and strategies that meet their personal banking and credit card objectives
• Support sales and customer service activities to meet strategic profitability goals in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and accountability within the branch team
• Attract, retain, and enable the career development of top talent through coaching and performance management
• Develop and maintain a community network to enhance the Bank’s visibility and build referral sources
• Resolve complex customer issues and coordinate service requests to ensure accurate follow-up
• Review performance measures against sales and service targets to address gaps and develop improvement plans
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and anti-money laundering requirements

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years of experience in banking, sales, or customer service
• General knowledge of retail banking products, services, and branch operational processes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• In-depth analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience
