Assistant Borough Director, Bureau of Childcare

Responsibilities

• Oversee and directly supervise field supervisors managing inspectional staff
• Monitor borough key performance indicators for adherence to Bureau objectives
• Ensure quality assurance of inspection reports and database entries
• Evaluate staff performance and support professional development
• Serve as acting Borough Director in their absence
• Respond to inquiries from providers, the public, and government agencies

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree with 30 semester credits in physical or biological sciences
• At least two years of satisfactory full-time experience performing inspections
• Experience as a public health sanitarian for supervisory eligibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze data and allocate resources

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership responsibility managing cross-functional teams
• Extensive knowledge of Child Care regulations and the operational landscape
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and stakeholders
