Assistant Baseball Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Baseball Coach with organization, development, and leadership of the Division II baseball program
• Conduct individual and team practices, training, and competitions
• Recruit, motivate, and counsel baseball athletes, including managing Letters of Intent and official visits
• Monitor student-athletes regarding class attendance, study halls, grades, and academic eligibility
• Supervise staff and students assigned to the program
• Coordinate team travel, including scheduling hotels and meals
• Evaluate athletes' physical condition and advise on fitness maintenance
• Serve as a role model and mentor for student-athletes regarding conduct and behavior

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Three or more years of coaching experience at a high school or collegiate level
• Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Ability to travel extensively
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
