Assistant Baseball Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional baseball skills training to student-athletes during practices and games
• Assist the head coach in recruiting and maintaining a quota of qualified student-athletes
• Support the training and supervision of student assistant coaches
• Assist with fundraising efforts through donations or special projects
• Help ensure student-athletes meet GPA and eligibility requirements each semester
• Assist in the planning, administration, and scheduling of intercollegiate competitions
• Comply with all NAIA eligibility requirements and documentation standards
• Arrange safe transportation for student-athletes for away contests and off-campus practices
• Represent the University in public presentations and local community outreach activities

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in coaching or playing baseball at the collegiate or university level (or equivalent at a lower level)
• Knowledge of sport coaching techniques
• Familiarity with NAIA policies and procedures
• Valid Texas driver's license and a safe driving record
• Ability to drive a 15-passenger van
• Ability to demonstrate appropriate technical baseball skills during practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Relevant coaching certifications
