About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Sports Medicine with all athletic training aspects in support of a NAIA athletic department
  • Perform assessment, treatment, rehabilitation interventions, and referrals for athletic injuries
  • Develop and manage treatment schedules for assigned teams
  • Provide evening and weekend event coverage as scheduled
  • Ensure NAIA standards for athletic training services are consistently met
  • Abide by the Code of Ethics of the National Athletic Trainers Association

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred)
  • National certification through the Board of Certification Inc. (BOC)
  • Missouri athletic training license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and safe conditioning practices
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, exercise physiology, kinesiology, and nutrition

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field
