Assistant Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, evaluation, care, treatment, and rehabilitation for 15 NCAA III varsity intercollegiate teams
• Prepare for and provide coverage for all home games and practices
• Administer emergency care, including CPR, AED, and first aid when necessary
• Coordinate treatment and rehabilitation plans for athletic injuries
• Maintain accurate medical records, screenings, and reports for students, insurance, and legal purposes
• Communicate and collaborate with team physicians, medical staff, coaches, and student-athletes regarding injury status
• Assist in developing conditioning, weight training, and nutrition programs for student-athletes
• Maintain compliance with NCAA, GNAC, and NATA Code of Ethics regulations
• Collaborate with the Director of Sports Medicine on equipment and supply needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)
• BOC certification
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification
• NH State Athletic Trainer license (or eligibility)
• Valid Driver's license
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel (including overnight)
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift/move up to 45 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• CSCS or NASM certification
• Previous experience in a college or university training room
