Assistant Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily management and medical treatment of student-athletes, focusing on injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the athletic training room and manage supply inventory.
• Document and maintain student-athlete Protected Health Information (PHI) using the SportsWare Online system.
• Coordinate and maintain records for all athletic physical examinations.
• Provide education and counseling to student-athletes regarding injuries and illnesses.
• Oversee CPR/AED and First Aid education for all athletic staff.
• Maintain effective communication with the Director of Athletic Training, coaches, physicians, and families.
• Work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and occasional travel with teams.

Requirements

• BOC Certification for Athletic Training.
• Valid Arizona Athletic Training License.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, health education, sports medicine, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license for university vehicle usage and travel.
• Ability to meet University expectations regarding faith, service, and lifestyle.
• Ability to perform medium-demand physical tasks, including lifting up to 100 pounds.
