Assistant Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate care for athletic injuries to student-athletes
• Manage specific athletic teams on a semesterly basis
• Assist the Head Athletic Trainer with various departmental needs
• Perform injury and illness prevention and wellness protection
• Conduct clinical evaluations and diagnoses
• Provide immediate and emergency care when necessary
• Manage treatment and rehabilitation programs for athletes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• BOC certification
• Licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health
• Proficiency in injury prevention and wellness protection
• Strong clinical evaluation and diagnosis skills
• Proficiency in emergency care and immediate treatment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field
