Assistant Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care, including the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
• Deliver rapid emergency management during practices and home games.
• Design individualized recovery plans that balance physical health with social-emotional and mental wellness support.
• Collaborate with coaches, families, and student well-being teams to communicate recovery milestones and coordinate athlete care.
• Oversee daily training room operations and maintain meticulous health records.
• Uphold strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
• Current state licensure (or eligibility).
• Valid CPR, First Aid, AED, and BLS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA and Emergency Action Plan (EAP) development.
• 1-3 years of experience in athletic training, preferably in a high-performance school or collegiate setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
