Assistant Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services and coverage for varsity and designated club sports programs, including attendance at practices and competitions.
• Support the Assistant Athletic Director of Sport Medicine in day-to-day department functions.
• Manage the NCAA drug testing program, including scheduling, implementation, and serving as a primary contact for the NCAA.
• Coordinate student-athlete physical examinations, medical referrals, and maintain meticulous medical records.
• Consult with Team Physicians regarding the treatment and progress of injured student-athletes.
• Assist in injury prevention efforts and maintain athletic training facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Provide clinical supervision for athletic training students from accredited programs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
• Active certification by the Board of Certification (BOC).
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED professional certification.
• Florida Department of Health licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Valid driver license.
• Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in sports medicine or athletic training at the collegiate level.
