About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide athletic training services and coverage for varsity and designated club sports programs, including attendance at practices and competitions.
- Support the Assistant Athletic Director of Sport Medicine in day-to-day department functions.
- Manage the NCAA drug testing program, including scheduling, implementation, and serving as a primary contact for the NCAA.
- Coordinate student-athlete physical examinations, medical referrals, and maintain meticulous medical records.
- Consult with Team Physicians regarding the treatment and progress of injured student-athletes.
- Assist in injury prevention efforts and maintain athletic training facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide clinical supervision for athletic training students from accredited programs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- Active certification by the Board of Certification (BOC).
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED professional certification.
- Florida Department of Health licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Valid driver license.
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in sports medicine or athletic training at the collegiate level.
