Assistant Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Manage player healthcare including first aid, emergency care, and on-site injury evaluation
• Develop and conduct rehabilitation and injury prevention programs
• Maintain up-to-date player health and participation records in the EMR system
• Order and maintain inventory of clinical supplies and equipment
• Ensure the athletic training room and clinic area are safe, clean, and organized
• Comply with MLS NEXT Pro medical policies and OSHA standards regarding bloodborne pathogens

Requirements

• NATABOC (or CATA) Certified Athletic Trainer/Therapist in good standing
• Minimum four-year bachelor's degree
• Minimum one year of certified athletic trainer/therapist experience
• CPR certification for Health Care Provider
• Ability to maintain personal professional liability insurance
• Valid state license if required by the state of operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related healthcare field
• Soccer-specific experience
• CSCS, PES, LMT, NREMT, or Certified Performance Sport Specialist (CPSS) certifications
