About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for day-to-day facilities, game, and equipment room operations for Division I intercollegiate athletics.
  • Oversee event management, facility improvement, and upkeep for all athletic venues and fields.
  • Manage the purchasing, inventory, and apparel contracts for 18 athletic programs.
  • Supervise the maintenance of athletic buildings, locker rooms, and laundry operations.
  • Coordinate and supervise game day operations, including venue preparation, setup, and breakdown.
  • Manage departmental budgets for equipment, facilities, events, and student employment.
  • Supervise and train a team including directors of facilities/operations and equipment, as well as student staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, NCAA, Conference, and University regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in athletic facilities and equipment operations at the NCAA or professional level.
  • Proven experience in budget management and purchasing.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
  • Physical ability to lift 20-40 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work irregular shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AEMA Certification.
  • Prior experience managing university apparel agreements through specific brand websites.
  • Experience working with the CoachComm communication system.
