About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for day-to-day facilities, game, and equipment room operations for Division I intercollegiate athletics.
- Oversee event management, facility improvement, and upkeep for all athletic venues and fields.
- Manage the purchasing, inventory, and apparel contracts for 18 athletic programs.
- Supervise the maintenance of athletic buildings, locker rooms, and laundry operations.
- Coordinate and supervise game day operations, including venue preparation, setup, and breakdown.
- Manage departmental budgets for equipment, facilities, events, and student employment.
- Supervise and train a team including directors of facilities/operations and equipment, as well as student staff.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, NCAA, Conference, and University regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five (5) years of professional experience in athletic facilities and equipment operations at the NCAA or professional level.
- Proven experience in budget management and purchasing.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
- Physical ability to lift 20-40 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to work irregular shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with short notice.
Preferred Qualifications
- AEMA Certification.
- Prior experience managing university apparel agreements through specific brand websites.
- Experience working with the CoachComm communication system.
