Assistant/Associate Professor, Physical Therapy

Responsibilities

• Teach in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
• Conduct scholarship and provide research support for the Ph.D. in Health Sciences program
• Collaborate with faculty to contribute to a team-taught and integrated curriculum
• Plan, organize, and provide instructional feedback to promote student success
• Maintain a consistent, in-person presence on campus throughout the standard workweek
• Engage in university service and professional development

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience
• Eligibility for Ohio Physical Therapy Licensure

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or DSc.)
• American Physical Therapy Association (ABPTS) Specialist Certification or relevant field certifications
• Content expertise in neuroscience and rehabilitation
• Proven experience in research, scientific writing, or grant writing
• Previous experience teaching within a DPT program
• Professional membership in the APTA or other relevant health professional organizations
